Overview
Join a naturalist for this FREE program every Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 am. We will explore around the reserve - let's see what birds we might find, and anything else that catches our eye! Anything hanging out on the creek? Any birds peaking from holes in the trees? This is a great way to get to know the reserve. You'll enjoy seeing the changes in each season.
Registration is requested so we can best plan. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and binoculars if you have them; we'll have some to borrow if needed. Meet in the Parking Lot at Todd Nature Reserve. This is about 2 miles from Buffalo Creek Nature Park - there is a stone pillar to mark the entrance and a small gravel parking lot. There are no facilities on-site - feel free to stop at Buffalo Creek Nature Park on your way to or back from Todd Nature Reserve to use the restrooms!
Todd Nature Reserve has a more rugged landscape and rustic trails. We highly recommend wearing sturdy shoes that can get wet so that you can best enjoy your hike . As we transition into the spring month, the trails can be wet, muddy, or even still have some ice.
